LEAVING OUR FACILITY SAFELY. USING A CONTACTLESS PROCESS

You may leave your window closed upon exit. and simply hold your driver’s license up to the window. Our exit gate agent will be wearing a mask and will verify your information from outside.

We perform multiple cleanings for each vehicle and are using EPA-certified disinfectants before and after each rental. with special attention paid to: steering wheels. dashboards. handgrips. radio dials. cup holders. center consoles. and interior/exterior door handles.

RETURNING YOUR VEHICLE SAFELY AND SANITIZING THE VEHICLE FOR THE NEXT RENTER

• Upon returning the vehicle to our facility. please gather all of your belongings and exit the vehicle.

• We will send your receipt to the email address on file. or you may retrieve your receipt by clicking here.

• A paper receipt will be available if required. Return agents will be wearing masks.

• Further cleaning will occur after the vehicle is moved to our cleaning stations to ensure that multiple cleanings are done for each vehicle.

Each of our vehicles is thoroughly cleaned between every rental and backed with the Complete Clean Pledge. We at SIXT are aware that the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) is currently impacting the global community. Every day we feel the effects of this situation in our private and professional life, with national authorities taking extraordinary measures to contain the pandemic. We know that this situation also raises uncertainty among our customers. Therefore, we want you to know that:

OUR CLIENTS’ AND EMPLOYEES’ WELL-BEING AND SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY!

We are constantly monitoring the situation and, together with the responsible authorities, are making decisions, which allow us to best serve our clients. This includes measures we are taking to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), so that we can always provide a safe environment for our customers and employees in these challenging times.

For this reason, we have implemented the following important safety measures to ensure the highest standards and minimize the risk of transmission:

HYGIENIC STANDARDS IN OUR BRANCHES

We have distributed hygiene materials and introduced intensive cleaning processes to minimize virus transmission in our branches. Additionally, we are following the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) to reduce the risk of transmission during the Coronavirus outbreak by updating our operations, for example:

• Instructing our employees to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly.
• Building plexiglass counter screens in all branches.
• If required by the local authorities, all of our agents with customer contact are wearing facemasks to protect themselves as well as customers.

VEHICLE CLEANING

We’ve always taken seriously the cleanliness of our locations and vehicles, and we know this is more important now than ever. We are implementing additional measures to clean and disinfect our locations and vehicles, in alignment with guidance from health authorities. This includes routine cleaning with a recommended disinfectant of all frequently touched surfaces at our locations, such as countertops, door handles, kiosks, workstations and bathrooms.

We also have a very formal training process in place that instructs all employees about the proper cleaning of vehicles. Of particular focus, our procedures mandate a thorough cleaning and wiping of the interior with a recommended disinfectant. This includes the dashboard, instrument panel, steering wheel, center console, cup holders, compartments, seats, between console and seats, between doorjambs and seats, door and door pockets, among other areas. We are frequently reinforcing the importance of this process with our employees.

We are closely monitoring Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the current guidance from the leading government and health authorities to ensure we are taking the right actions to protect our customers, employees and the communities where we operate.

Please also know that we continue to maintain our high standards for safety and cleanliness. In addition to practicing preventative measures to reduce the spread of germs within our facilities, all of our vehicles go through a rigorous, multi-step cleaning process for each rental. We are remaining vigilant in upholding these practices and will take additional precautions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local governments.

We have enhanced our cleaning practices:

• Around the world, we have enhanced our cleaning methods at our locations and our shuttle buses including using approved disinfectant to regularly wipe down high-touch areas such as door handles, counters, kiosks and other hard surfaces.

• We’ve added more alcohol-based hand sanitizers and are reminding employees to take important hygiene steps, including frequent handwashing and staying home if ill.

• Following CDC guidelines, our vehicles are cleaned and disinfected with our multi-point cleaning process:

1. Disinfect vehicle at return area.
2. At cleaning area, inspect interior of vehicle, tires and overall vehicle condition.
3. Check wiper fluid and replenish if needed.
4. Remove trash and lost/found items.
5. Vacuum trunk, front seat area and rear seat area.
6. Clean window interiors.
7. Spray odor eliminator.
8. Disinfect all high-touch contact areas (steering wheel, consoles, door handles, etc.).
9. Wash exterior of vehicle.
10. Perform quality check.
11. Move vehicle to parking stall.
12. Disinfect driver area again and perform final check.

Go Safe Plan: Choose a hire car to move around safely

At Record go, we’ve launched the Go Safe plan at all our branches with the aim of offering our customers the safest transport option. To do this, we’ve reinforced the standard cleaning processes of our rental cars to the highest standard and following disinfection.

Vehicle cleaning and disinfection

All the cars are meticulously cleaned before and after every rental.

• We disinfect the interior, paying special attention to the following parts: steering wheel, indicators, dashboard, handles, entertainment system controls, cup holders, centre console and door handles.

• We carry out a final interior disinfection, with the doors closed and the engine running. In this way, the particles penetrate every crevice of the car and the air ventilation ducts.

• We disinfect the exterior, paying special attention to critical areas like handles, doors and the boot.

• We seal and certify the vehicle, disinfect the key and leave it ready for the next customer.

Safe vehicle collection and return

• We control the maximum capacity of branches.

• We provide our customers with hand sanitiser and masks.

• We disinfect the key with hydroalcoholic gel on the spot.

• We digitalise the rental contract to avoid unnecessary contact (it can also be printed if necessary).

Is it safe to use the Shuttle bus?

Yes, we’ve reinforced the hygiene processes on our buses by applying exhaustive cleaning protocols.
